I’m letting the teenage girl inside me come out. I’ve never met her but I’m sure we’ll get along.
Actually I found Never Shout Never quit awhile ago. One of my friends gushes about how hot the lead singer is. But how can someone who looks like they’re twelve possibly be hot?
Well anyway to the music. I think I need a break from music that makes my brain think to much. Which is really funny because I’m not listening to teen Heart-Throbe music right now. I really don’t know why I’m blogging about this kind of music. But anyway.
When it comes to teen pop/rock these guys are…… shall we say not as painful to listen to as say *cough* Jonas Brothers *cough* Miley Cyrus *cough* anything Disney *cough*
The thing that I like about these guys is the fact that their music and lyrics has more substance then their fan base would like to let on. So I feel good to see potential in a music genre that I tend to stay at least twenty miles away from.
Warning: To the small few that may actually watch this video. This is what I like to call a trying-too-hard-to-look-depressed music video. The emo-ness may offend some of you. So take this as a warning. Or you might be into the whole teen emo couple thing. So whatever you are into.

I was watching American Idol. Which is something I do with my Tuesday evenings. So anyway Adam on there absolutely 1,000,000% butchered “Whole Lotta Love.” You know by Led Zeppelin.
Usually I wouldn’t even bother ranting about Idol. But when Zeppelin is raped and murdered like it was tonight, I mean we must talk, and when I say talk, I mean bash whoever did this to, oh such classic rock.
You know I never listen to the judges or junk. But I mean they called the guy’s performance pure rock and roll, and amazing and stuff. I mean the pure concept of someone doing Zeppelin at all, in my mind, is completely unrealistic to start with. But the guy honestly thought it was okay to do Zeppelin. What was he thinking you just don’t do Zeppelin period. Aside from the fact that he sung it way, way too high. Well…… That may have purely been in result from the fact that his pants were about 3 sizes to small. But we’ll ignore that for a second.
What I really, really, REALLY!!!!! hated about the whole thing was…………. I don’t think I can say it……… It’s just too sad. Whoever was playing the guitar got rid of the iconic pull of the string. You know in the chorus after the guy sings whole lotta love the guitar makes this neeaaahhh sound , and we get on our knees. Saying we are not worthy. WHY WHY WHY did Adam ruin it WHY!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s just not right.
It’s so upsetting. Now that I’ve got that off my chest. Enjoy the original. It’s so good man.
This is all my opinion. I really needed to rant. So…………….
An experiment in super 8 film degradation - handprocessed and cut digitally.
While editing Found, I shot additional black and white super 8 footage. After I developed and projected it, I discovered it didn’t fit into the feel of the short - but I loved the material scratched abstract look of the footage. So I cut it into this experimental film.
Super 8 is awesome :)
I know super 8 freaks some people out. But it’s part of common culture. So live with it
I seriously half feel like an idiot and half feel, oh so relaxed. I have been searching for “Blood gets thin” by Pete and the Pirates since I heard it on BBC RADIO 1 back in December. which seemed really hard, sad, and impossible because I seriously could not find it and then 10 minutes ago I finally found it. YES YES YES and it sounds so good.
Also I heard another song on the same station about a month ago, and I went crazy over trying to find it. I thought it was called “Fear of fire” or “fear of flying.” So anyway with my craziness I ended up emailing the BBC and demanded them to tell me what the song was called and the artist name. I never got a response.
So anyway I found it on the DJ’s page. Who needs email when you can use your brain and stuff.
The song is called “Buriedfed” by Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson and here it is to listen to. How off was I with the name :)
Enjoy. The song really relaxes the ears. Not the lyrics but the song in general. The song is very Bright Eyes. So take that whichever way you want to.

I have no clue why I keep putting MYSPACE in capital letters. Probably one of my weird habits. am I the only person that has these weird habits? Probably not :)

There’s a dance competition i have to be at in 2 hours. What i don’t understand is why my hair and make up is ready. It’s probably one of my weird urges. I just have to do everything 2 hours early. Not strange at all.
Most likely i should have stayed in bed. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm Bed + Sleep = happy Rachel. The thing is that i NEVER win at one of these things. People say it’s not about winning it’s about performing on stage. Well you know what i want to win!!!! I want a big trophy and it would be all mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine. Wow that is really annoying.
I’m not that selfish really. I’m just really sick of the girls in skimpy costumes doing suggestive movements winning all the time. Not to worry they’ll be dancing at strip clubs soon enough. That’s mean but true. The other thing I hate about dance competition’s is the music sucks. If i hear ” She bangs” one more time i will scream. Ah and nobody ever does any rock. The closest we got to rock was somebody got little kids to do KISS. But of course they didn’t know who kiss is so bahhhhhhhh.
I’m currently listening to “I will Dare” by the replacements. MMMMMMM good 80’s

Final fantasy is a band that I absolutely love and that must be known by all.
They are pretty much known by they’re lead singer Owen Pallett. He also plays the violin that we hear so much of in they’re music.
The reason I love these guys so much. Is the fact that they have brought the classical instruments that we have learnt to hate with a vengeance because of rock music and music teachers. Into a modern realm that we haven’t quite comprehended yet. Not that I have anything against rock music because i love rock. It’s just that after all that electric guitar. I need a break from the high. I do have a thing against music teachers. But i think we all do.
Personally the reason i like final fantasy so much. Is that their music makes me feel like I’m walking through a forest with fairy’s. But hey that’s me :)
A must listen by them is “the butcher.” Just listen to it you wont regret it.
